Alright kids, it's early XXI century, 8 AM. („Gary! Unedited! ZA/UM productions!") The time has come to buzz out and watch the morning traffic pass behind my pale-beautiful window glass, simply feeling better than other people. ("ZA/UM productions! Helvetica! Sans-serif!") Oh my god, I'm so much better than you! I'm the L´Art de Martell to your Hennesy, the Carlton Corsair to your Schwinn mountain bike, my mind is a tender, exquisite thing, right here, it's right here behind these eyes, all glazed over by smooth ass minimal techno. Got my cup of Joe, got four cigarettes left, got the news off pitchfork.com: Swedish micro-house / cosmic-techno / minimal artist Axel Willner aka The Field just released his third patch of songs! It's titled „Looping State of Mind“ and it's a STELLAR affair, so much better than his second, the disappointing „Yesterday and Tomorrow“ - title not confirmed, Wiki 'd break my stride right now - better by a margin akin to how much better I am right now, so much better than all y'all not trippin balls to this lush-ass HD rendering of the kind of hypnotic minimalism Willner's been known for since 2007s „From Here We Go Sublime“.
Now with funk grooves and ghostly vocals!
Future Culture Elite of Estonia, we have been on the same relative level for quite a while now and I'd like to keep it that way. You better get some of dat shit in your skull right now, lest I zoom right past you on my silver rocket of looped oohs and ahs, thumping those soft beats all the way to Tau Ceti, swoosh, oh yeah! So much better. Listen to that glossy ass swell right there, oh yeah, track nr I Can't Be Bothered To Check Out Which Track Is Playing, you da best! You surely the best track thus far and every single one has been sooo good!
Damn, I'm glad The Field got back to massaging my mind, man, this is some straight up sublime music right there! Got my faux hip-hop vocab all loaded up, ready to blow your mind with this blog review! Gonna keep it short and sweet for you, this has been The Field with „Looping State of Mind“, stardate: Sept. 14, 2011. Gonna dive into that last track alone, sans correspondence, gonna light up that last ziggy too!
(Even better than „From Here We Go Sublime“!)
PS Ayo, ex girlfriend! Bet ya wish you were surfin my firmament right now, huh? Some o´ dat celestial wavelength / next level extreme genius flow, mobilizing an economy of sophistication and distinction, ethically supreme, adjudication from the Kingdom of Ends. But hey, no foul, I guess you might be able to eek out some meager intellectual enjoyment from those mediocre and evil minds you roll with now. Whatever, I'm cool. Got my blog right here, got my techno over there.
